Love her or hate her, you can’t deny Kate Moss has style.

Whether she’s donning wayfarers, skinny jeans and over-the-knee boots on a relaxed day, or adorned in Gucci on the front cover of Vogue, she always looks sensational.

Along with that, she’s a pretty mean fashion designer too.  Her first range with Topshop launched in May 2007 and since then she’s gone from strength to strength. This year’s Christmas collection, which launches at the end of October 2009, will be her ninth range designed for Topshop.

On the new collection, Topshop state: "For autumn/Winter 2009 Kate Moss' Topshop collection exudes high voltage glamour.  Synonymous with her designs strong prints appear throughout.  Vivid butterflies flutter across chiffon with billowing sleeves, creating a dreamy new season look."

Her collections for Topshop have always split opinion in the industry, with fashionistas such as Trinny and Susannah claiming that the clothes were modelled for slim girls, and wouldn’t suit “real women”.  The pair also said: “No one has a figure like hers so her clothes only really look good on her."

Though Moss has often hit the headlines with her personal life, her fashion, and the fashion surrounding her, has always been the media’s focus.

The 35-year-old supermodel is regularly dogged by controversy.  In the 1990s Moss was part of a Calvin Klein fragrances advertising campaign, in which she was particularly slender, and her health was brought into question.

Having been discovered at the age of 14, her CV is extensive and includes Dolce & Gabbana, Louis Vuitton, Versace, Roberto Cavalli, Chanel, Dior, Yves Saint-Laurent and Rimmel, to name just a few.

Ever a trendsetter, Kate Moss was one of the first to don a decorative scarf, wear Ugg boots, sport ballet pumps, try skinny jeans and dress in denim shorts.

Just this week Moss hit the headlines for her courageous style; a see-through chiffon top at Paris Fashion Week that left little to the imagination and revealed a lot more than most people would dare.  Moss is used to being in the limelight, and this was no exception.

Over the years, Moss has mastered the art of appearing in the public eye.  It is not often Kate Moss is spotted looking ordinary, and it’s for that reason she is the style icon of so many people.
